1. Battery weight and handling

Lithium tolerates partial top-ups, so opportunity charging on breaks does not harm the pack. The SELR20+ charges from 0 to 100% in about 3 hours; for other models, see the battery & charger guide. Every new machine ships with a matching plug-in charger for a standard 120 V North American outlet.
3. No watering, no acid checks
Lithium needs no watering and no acid checks, and has no memory effect. That contrasts with flooded lead-acid batteries, which need regular watering. The SEOR30's sealed VRLA lead-acid battery is also maintenance-free, so against the SEOR30 the main lithium difference is weight.
4. 24 V or 48 V
24 V packs power the SESR15 and SESR15-N (3,300 lb). 48 V packs power the SESR15+ and the SELR20 family (up to 4,400 lb), as well as the SEOR30. Sumachay does not make a 36 V pallet jack. Always replace a pack with one of the same voltage.
5. Two shifts on one machine
On swap-enabled models (SESR15, SESR15-N, SELR20 and SELR20+), order the spare-battery option and charge one pack while the other runs. The SEOR30 does not support battery swapping.
